This large load of raw guar is no-doubt bound for one of the many West-Coast gum factories
where illegal immigrants toil under conditions which would make Dickens blush.
While not all guar gum is produced in these exploitative sweatshops,
the conscientious consumer should be aware before making a
choice of an edible gum thickening-agent. Xanthan: ask for it by name!
