Standing Waves

Couldn't resist this visible satellite shot from yesterday at 12:15 MDT. Note the waves backed up to the west from the Rockies (the Alberta-B.C. boundary follows the Continental Divide). Also the waves reflected (?) out over the prairie to the northeast. Visit here to view hi-res weather sat pix of this region or others (US only, unfortunately). Cool, non?
