Scruffy Scrofulariaceae
For years we have battled these Linaria dalmatica down in the coulees, ripping the rhizomatous terrorists from the gravelly soil, hoping to stem the tide. This spring, the first phalanx peers at the upper homeworld from the tops of the coulees, yellow tongues salivating at the sight of uninfected grasslands. We may yet have to call out the Weed Warden.
