There's a name for the photographic technique of blurring your subject nearly beyond recognition while the boring background is sharply focused. I can't seem to recall it, which is odd, because I think I invented it....
Anyway, I swear this is the last in the animal/plant jag. This Delphinium (glaucum I am guessing?) is of course named for a dolphin for some strange reason; however, the common name is "Larkspur".
