And in fact it is Hockey Day in Canada today, with the CBC serving up an all-day orgy of hockey complete with massive doses of Ron MacLean's pretentious preening, Dick Irvin's confused ramblings, Don Cherry's folksy good-old Western Canadian boy gruffness, and yes, all six (are there that many left?) Canadian NHL clubs playing each other.
We'll celebrate with this painting, once again from Bill Brownridge, and once again (you guessed it) from Canada House. Hey, guess what? Hockey Day is being broadcast from Nelson, BC where we have a secret Strange-Tripper operative in place, so perhaps we'll get some inside photos! Actually, I think he moved to Edmonton.... Go, Flames, Go!
