Had My Xanthophyll of This
Have you ever been to a border-town market and watched the natives snicker softly as the gringos marvel over useless trinkets of no real value? Trees must feel the same sort of thing as we humans admire the reds and yellows of the throw-away pigments as they tuck away the valuable and expensive chlorophyll molecules safely underground.
