Early Flower Gets the ....?
I'm always amazed by how quickly Spring comes to these parts. Day after gray winter day then suddenly: Kapow!

Seems I read somewhere that nearly all early flowers are yellow due to the fact that flies, who see yellow the best, are their main pollinators. But didn't I read somewhere else that flyswatters are usually yellow because they can't be seen as well? Either way, doesn't that make you appreciate these daffodils even more, knowing that swarms of flies will soon be buzzing around them?
