Windows on the Past

Wonder what the students who used to attend this school back in the "good old days" think upon seeing it now; windows which once framed daydreams tinged with babbling brooks and new-mown hay now slammed irrevocably stifling shut, pupils pent-up forever behind bricks and mortar, their life-force sapped by sickly green flourescent glow. A "Cask of Amontillado" for the new millennium. If they drive by at all, they drive by quickly and do not look back.
