One of the stranger clouds in recent memory appeared here. Just before I managed to find the camera, you could see a shaft of light shining down through the central aperture. Not so sure, but anecdotal evidence suggests that this was the source of a sudden but short-lived localized downpour of rain about 10 minutes earlier, 10 miles to the west.
Okay, I'll admit it, we are desperate for entertainment out here on the great prairies.....
