It had been suggested before: The old 8088 which had graced my desk since about 1987 was showing its age. Well, so was I. Alright, already, 21st century here I come! A 100Mhz Pentium (which already feels like a doorstop) has moved in, and some documents are being prepared in LaTeX instead of WordStar. Actually, the entire DOS environment from the old amber-screen doorstop now exists inside an emulation on one of the virtual terminals of the new machine. Windoze? Who needs it?
