I recall some memorable testimony from a trial several years ago. When difficulties or hard work loomed at the job site, a certain fly-by-night contractor (definitely not pictured) would disappear, muttering that he "Had a few calls to make." Of course, the only available phone seemed to be in one of the local watering holes down on Main Street.
