(Leave it to) The Beaverhead

Thanks to Ken Burns, the story from the Lewis and Clark journals is now well-known: How Sacagawea recognized this rock formation from her youth spent picking berries nearby; it was the first landmark she recognized, and it supposedly greatly heartened the Corps. If truth be known, though, they fell immediately to arguing: "Beaver?! It looks more like a badger, you know!" "Badger??! Why you idiot, anyone can see it's an otter!" "Why, you 'otter' have your head and/or eyes examined, it is clearly a bear!"......
